The Future

Hello!

Recently I have been asked what I want to do with my life.  What job do I want to go into, what family life am I wanting to have, etc.  When I was younger the answer to that question seemed like the most simple thing in the world! A teacher, duh!  I had never really thought about my interests, and what I really want to do my WHOLE life.  It’s strange really, I use to think the older I got the more I would know what I wanted to do.  Well friends, let me tell you that is not the case.  I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my future.

The thought of working with teenagers doesn’t sound appealing, and working in an office sounds awful.  When I even mention the idea of blogging or YouTube being a “job” people laugh, and tell me that I’m young, and that working in the online world is impossible. I just can’t seem to please anybody! (NOT EVEN MYSELF!) I know that I have awhile before I need to decide, but it is very stressful!

What I recommend to you all, don’t ever crush someone’s dream.  I know their idea may sound crazy, but if it their dream let them have it.  Don’t plan someone’s future for them.  There is nothing worse than having something you are excited about and then having someone tell you that they see your future somewhere else.  You may mean well by saying it, but it plants a seed of doubt in their heads.

In the end, it is true what they say, “follow your dreams.”  Just remember what the quote really says.  Follow YOUR dreams, not anybody else’s.  In the end do what will make you happy, even if people think you are crazy.  :)

• Do any of you have tips for the future?
